4/1/17: At the end of March, we went on a ten day trip across northern Thailand looking for frogs. During the day, we scoped field sites—waterfalls, dry riverbeds, streams and we returned to collect data at night when frogs were active. It was hot and very dry in northern Thailand, with daytime highs in the mid to high 30s (Celsius), but at night it cooled down to a more comfortable 22–27 degrees. Despite the dry conditions, we found more than 30 species of frogs and a lot of other cool herps!
